President: Maryann Sadagopan, Phoenix, AZ
Grew up in Philadelphia and is a resident of Phoenix, AZ, formerly 23 years in Andover, MA. She holds a BS in Textile Design from Philadelphia University and MA in Museum Studies from Harvard University Extension School. Her background includes collection management of cultural material for the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and independent consulting for non-profits in USA and India. Maryann has served on NECS board since 2018, and currently serves on the Board of the Andover Center for History and Culture. She enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
Vice President: Mandi Edgerly, Methuen, MA
Mandi grew up in Andover, MA. She graduated from Northern Essex Community College where she earned her Associates in Accounting. She has worked in finance at World Travel Holdings for over 20 years where she is currently Accounting Manager. She has also served on the Parish Council at Our Lady of Good Counsel parish in Methuen where she sings in the choir and teaches Sunday school. She sang with NECS in 2007 and 2008 and has been with the group consistently since 2019.
Treasurer: Peter Ersland, Littleton, MA
Has B.A. and M.A., degrees in Physics, and has worked as a reliability engineer in the semiconductor industry since moving from Minnesota to Massachusetts in 1986. He joined NECS in 1996, and has served in a variety of Board positions, including a four year stint as president. In addition to the NECS board, Peter has held leadership positions with his church, and on a number of professional engineering boards and committees.
Recording Secretary: Elizabeth Poland, Andover, MA
Grew up in Washington, DC, Paris, and London, earning her BA in French at the University of Virginia and her MA in Language Acquisition at Stanford. Libby has taught French at Phillips Academy for the last 12 years, enjoys pottery, and has been making music for much of her life, as a singer and an oboist. She joined NECS in 1996. She lives in Andover with her husband, McKee. They have three grown children and a fuzzy dog.
Member-at-Large: Gail Miller Armondino, North Andover, MA
Grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Vassar College and earned her MA and Ph.D. in Historical Musicology from the Catholic University of America. She has worked at Carnegie Hall, The American Classical Orchestra, and currently has her own freelance business, Notes to Go, providing educational materials for all audiences. She is also the Mom to twin boys and three dogs. She lives in North Andover.
Member-at-Large: Martha Southworth, Andover, MA
Holds a master’s degree in social work and a graduate certificate in social work in health and has worked in a hospital setting since 1984. Her clinical focus for the last twenty years has been in working with expectant and post-partum mothers and their families who face a variety of medical and psycho-social challenges. She has sung in several musical groups since high school and also studied voice in college. She raised her children in Andover where she has been a resident since 1995.
